Enrolment

We invite parents who are considering Oberon for their child’s education to make an appointment for a tour with our Principal. We enjoy the opportunity to showcase what we offer and feel that by visiting the school you can decide for yourself whether it would be the right fit for your child and their needs.

When enrolling at Oberon, we require the following documentation:

• Completed enrolment form (please ensure all sections are completed fully and accurately),
• A copy of your child’s birth certificate,
• A School Entry Immunisation Certificate (available from Medicare through the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register),
• Health and wellbeing information (such as asthma management plans or allied health reports if applicable).

Enrolling at Oberon Primary School
Eligible children and young persons have the right to be admitted to their designated neighbourhood government school, regardless of capacity.
In our circumstance, we do not have sufficient accommodation to accept all students who apply from outside our school zone. We must manage enrolment applications in accordance with the following priority order of placement:
  1. students with a sibling at the same permanent address who are attending the school at the same time
  2. all other students in order of closeness of their home to the school.
In exceptional circumstances, a student may be enrolled in a school based on compassionate grounds. This is an overarching consideration and does not form part of the priority order of placement.
Please refer to the departments Placement Policy for further information regarding enrolment.
